Using Transaction Junction Card Payments in Invoicing

Aura has the ability to use the Transaction Junction payment platform through the use of a special integration.

Before it can be used, the following prerequisites must be met:

  1. Pinpads supplied by TradeLink must be installed and configured by TradeLink technicians.

  2. Each POS unit must be registered to the Aura cloud service. This can be done by Cosoft support staff.

  3. Each POS will need to have its printer configured to print Credit Card receipts. This can be done by Cosoft support staff.

  4. Each store will need a login to the Aura Cloud Portal, which will be supplied by Cosoft.

Processing a Sale

When concluding a sale in Invoicing, as per usual you will be presented with the Payment screen. You will see an entry on the screen called Cloud Pmt (“Cloud Payment”):

Under Available Methods, you will see a button labelled TJ Card (or alternatively “Card Payment”). Click this button to record a new payment.

You will be presented with a payment screen where you can capture how much the customer wishes to pay on their card. By default it is the full amount of the invoice.

Click OK. The pinpad will then light up and prompt for the card. The customer will present the card and their PIN. Once done, you should receive a Transaction Successful notice on the screen:

Should the transaction fail, you will also see the error displayed here. Common reasons for failure include incorrect PIN, declined card, customer cancellation on the pinpad, or being unable to communicate with the Transaction Junction server due to network problems.

Click OK to conclude the payment. The payment will reflect under the Cloud Pmt entry on the payment screen, and the sale can be completed.

Transaction Junction Sales in Cashup

All sales using this method will be recorded for each till under the Other Payments section of Cashup:

These payments are recorded automatically so no manual captures are required. The transactions can be viewed and checked against your merchant receipts by holding [Ctrl] and pressing [F3] on the keyboard:

It’s important to note that ALL ‘other payments’ will be listed here. This will include voucher payments such as WiCode. Transaction Junction payments specifically will be labelled as “Cloud - TJ Card” or “Cloud - Card Payment” in the PaymentType column.
