Cashup - I accidentally posted today’s shop cashup. How can I open my tills?

A common error is posting the Today’s cashup and not being able to start a new till shift for the day. The message that you would get when this happens looks like the one below:

 

The latest version of Aura allows you to unpost any shop on today’s date with no tills linked:

Simply click UnPost on your shop cashup screen.


If you do not have the latest version this option may not be available. In this case, open Backoffice and go to Preferences > System Settings:

 

 

One Shop Cashup Per Day

Go to All Computers> Program Settings> Cashup and untick One Shop Cashup Per Day:

 

 

Once you have unticked this option, you need to click on Apply and then Close:

 

 

Once you have done this, you need to close Invoicing across all tills and reopen it. NB.: There is NO NEED to restart the tills. 

Once this is done you should be able to start a new till shift. 

Cashing up

When cashing up, you need to complete the till cashups first so that they reflect purple:

 

 

Once this is done you will have to go back to Preferences> System Settings> Cashup> All Computers> Program Settings> Cashup and retick One Shop Cashup Per Day:

 

 

The system will then prompt you to relink the tills. You need to click on Yes to allow the tills to relink:


 

The cashups will then confirm that they have been updated:

 

 

Once you are done with that, you need to click on Apply and then on Close:

 

 

Then you can proceed to post your Shop Cashup so that it reflects as green:

 

NB.: You will have more than one shop cashup reflecting. This is normal. 

 

You should be able to proceed to start a new till shift the following day with no further issues.
