Cashup - I cannot lock my shift due to unposted drivers or invoices
If a store has not completed their cashup for the previous day, they might be faced with outstanding orders that need to be resolved before they can complete the cashup and/or outstanding drivers (or waitrons) that need to be cashed up.
In the latest version of Aura, if you have not yet closed your shifts from yesterday, you can still complete orders into the currently open shift from yesterday. Do not attempt to post your tills first as it will close the shifts and you will not be able to post the orders or employees. Once the invoices and drivers are posted, you may then lock your shifts.
If you have no open tills, you will see that Aura has security settings that prevent new till shifts from being opened until the previous day's cashup have been completed. Here is how to allow new shifts to be started:
In Invoicing, click Settings:
You may require a franchisee-level password for this action.
Navigate to All Computers > Program Settings > Cashup
Unset the option Cannot open tills if previous days Shop Cashup is unposted.
Click Apply then Close. You will now be able to open a till shift for today
Any Open orders may be paid or over-rung into that till.
Under the Employee tab in Cashup, select the unposted Driver and click Post. Select the active till.
The manager may now post and lock yesterday's cashups, and post the Shop cashup. You will need to note the differences caused by the outstanding orders on the cashup report.
